Christina Aguilera stars in her ‘Your Body’ video.

The list of nominations for the 2012 American Music Awards were announced earlier today as well as the show’s first performer. So, who will have the honor of rocking the stage at one of the biggest events of the year? That person is none other than Christina Aguilera.

Aguilera was on hand in Los Angeles to reveal the nominees for the American Music Awards and announce the news that she will perform at the show. She will reportedly belt material from her new album, ‘Lotus’, which will hit stores five days prior to the November 18th ceremony on November 13th.
