Yesterday, Leona Lewis gave her fans a special treat when she hosted a listening party for her soon to be released ‘Glassheart’ album. However, instead of just chatting about the disc and sharing details regarding her future plans for its promotion, the songbird actually played several full new songs!
Among the tracks that Lewis played on the Ustream-hosted listening session were ‘Come Alive’, ‘Lovebird’, ‘Un Love Me’ and ‘Fireflies’. Yet, the standout song was definitely the Darkchild-produced ‘Shake You Up’, which depicted Lewis flexing her vocals on an uptempo cut far different from her previous efforts.
‘Glassheart’ will be released in the UK on October 15th. The US schedule for the record has yet to be announced but the LP is expected to arrive in that territory by the end of the 2012. Listen to Lewis’ entire ‘Glassheart’ session, which ended with a live performance of ‘Trouble’, below:
‘Shake You Up’ is exactly the type of song that I have been praying at the alter of the lamb for Lewis to record! It’s flirtatious and catchy, and best of all, Lewis is having fun instead of singing in her usual balladeer fashion. When Lewis launches her promotional tour to support ‘Glassheart’ in the coming months, ‘Shake You Up’ will be the get the crowd dancing.
Thanks Leona Daily!
