Did you know that John Lennon only achieved his biggest hit on the Billboard Hot 100 after his death?
Shortly after being murdered on December 8th in 1980, Lennon’s joyful single ‘(Just Like) Starting Over’ vaulted to the top of the Hot 100. The song, which was released from his ‘Double Fantasy’ album, ruled the chart for an impressive five weeks.
‘Starting Over’ was one of only two #1 songs that Lennon accomplished on the Hot 100, not including his work with The Beatles. The other chart-topper was ‘Whatever Gets You Thru The Night’ in November 1974. Listen to ‘Starting Over’ below:
