Mary J. Blige performs on the ‘Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together’ benefit.

Shortly after Christina Aguilera kicked off the ‘Hurricane Sandy: Coming Together’ benefit with a powerful rendition of her ‘Beautiful’ classic, another diva hit the stage. Mary J. Blige stepped to the mic to perform an equally strong and even more emotional rendition of ‘The Living Proof’.

Usually, Blige finds herself struggling with the bigger notes of her ballads but tonight her voice was in excellent form. Clearly, some good has come from Hurricane Sandy. Watch Blige perform on the ‘Sandy’ benefit below:
