Ne-Yo Defends Mediocre ‘R.E.D.’ Album On ‘Breakfast Club’

Ne-Yo makes a guest appearance on ‘The Breakfast Club’.
If you have a problem with Ne-Yo’s new ‘R.E.D.’ album then keep your complaints and your money to yourself because he doesn’t care. Earlier this morning, the singer made a guest appearance on ‘The Breakfast Club’ where he defended his music and disregarded any negative feedback.
Entailing primarily generic Pop songs and cheapened R&B, ‘R.E.D.’ easily ranks as Ne-Yo’s weakest album to date, and many of his longtime fans have lashed out at him for crafting such a shabby record. However, he remains unbothered by their claims and steadfast in his belief that the album is a solid body of work.
Meanwhile, ‘R.E.D.’ is projected to generate the lowest first week sales of Ne-Yo’s career with only 50K-55K copies sold in the US during the next week. Watch his ‘Breakfast Club’ interview below:

yes! he was judging Trey on his R&B, when he’s making dated R&B and generic pop, he needs to be humbled!
The album sucks Ne-yo. Give up already. How can you write songs like So Sick, Irreplaceable and then defend songs like “Let Me Love You”? Even Libra Scale had some pretty good songs (one in a million, champagne life).
Ne-Yo’s first album was amazing! He should go back to that sound.

I heard his new EP, not that impressed with this album. I will not purchase this album, he comes across as so arrogant. He reported, “I am not in the business of selling albums, that is the record label business.”

Ne-Yo, you sat up there last time and said Trey Songz lack “an emotional connection” when it came to his records; well, this RED album is exactly what you accuse Trey Songz of. This album is medicore and as a songwriter you can do better. GO EAT SOME HUMBLE PIE SIR!!!
