Most of Nicki Minaj’s fans are probably under the age of 18 years so it is no surprise that she has a song on her ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded – The Re-Up’ to which they can connect. However, the new track, entitled ‘High School’, is far from her the other childish nonsense she released in the last few months.
Featuring Lil Wayne, ‘High School’ takes us back to the days of Minaj’s early career when she was still a mixtape artist with a point to prove with her music. Yes, similar to most of the other new tunes on ‘The Te-Up’ (due on November 19th), this track is driven by lyrics rather than Dance music synths.
Listen to Minaj and Wayne trade verses on ‘High School’ below:
Along with ‘Freedom’, ‘High School’ is the type of song that Minaj should have included on ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’ instead of ‘Starships’ and ‘Stupid Hoe’. It reminds us of just how good she can be when she is focused on being a rapper instead of an over the top, auto-tuned Pop star. Anything less than this level of this quality should be thrown away.

how many times is she going to repeat her mixtape lyrics? She rehashed an entire verse from 2009 for “whip it”, and has done this quite a few times on her album. now she did it with “he came from jamaica he had a couple acres”. Song is meh.
and how many times will she copy kim
they call her copy cat
It’s amazing how the undercover fans are so quick to reply but yet they apparently don’t have time to spend listening to Nicki. I don’t blame her for whip it because that song with cassie had no chance of seeing the light…at least she chose the better verse from that song and she reworded it a little.
I like this song. She should have not put Wayne on it and made a second verse but this is a decent song. Trent you’re right. This should have been on RR. I’m not going to download it(cant get into her no more) but its nice.
Still sounds like trash to me.
me to its terrible

All she is doing is recycling old as rhymes & trying to act like ppl won’t notice. Only her 5 yr old fans will think she’s “winning”.
Straight garbage. Roman Recycled . That’s all this is.
Well, the undercover fans will notice. Look how quickly they came in. hahaha…
Pointing out pure facts. That’s what it is called. I will NEVER be a fan of this phony, lying, disrespectful, evil, snake, clone, lesbian slut.
