Nicki Minaj Blames Low Album Sales On Shipments Shortage

    DJ Clue and Nicki Minaj

When the early sales predictions for next week’s Billboard 200 chart lineup were announced yesterday, Nicki Minaj’s ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded – The Re-Up’ was omitted as a result of its unnoticeable impact. However, during her appearance on DJ Clue’s Power 105 radio show, she devised a clever excuse.

Minaj conveniently blamed insufficient shipments by her label for the power initial sales of ‘The Re-Up’. That’s right, the fact that she has yet to score a hit single from the record has nothing to do with the fact that it will be certified “double glass”, to quote Lil Kim’s ‘Not Tonight’.

Listen to Minaj make excuses for her poor chart performance on DJ Clue’s show below:

In the mood to listen to more of Minaj’s slurred words? If that’s the case then watch her appearance on ‘LIVE! With Kelly & Michael’ as an added bonus below:

Shipment shortage?! but how come they have shipped 1,000,000 copies of RR and only sold 682k? I LIVED for the demise of Chris Brown now I am LIVING for the demise of this arrogant grief-leeching bastard.

She needs to stop. Her album sales are low cuz that shit is wack. She stopped doing big number (like her debut) when she alienated her hip hop fans. The only thing that she sold well this year was Starships, and that was some eurotecho/dance pop bullcrap. So much for a rapper, huh?

She alienated them before PFRR came out.

My nephew told me that his friends brought back PF to get one of Kim cds , 2 years ago. & when I bring her up, he get so mad at me.

Well, it wasn’t shipped to Target & Walmart. I still don’t get why they just released it to FYE, Best buy and Itunes/amazon. A re-release during the holidays is supposed to boost sales. Why not ship it Target and walmart (huge markets). At least it’s selling well online. She went on Twitter because her barbz were having issues getting it in stores and stated that they will ship more as stores run out so I expect more shipments. They obviously don’t want to overship like they did her last record.

She said thats how some business works they have a cap on re-releases because they don’t expect the demand to be there it has nothing to do primarily with shipment shortages

But Itunes is up and working with no problems! Nicki gets a hee haw (charlamagne) and a girl bye! Nicki flopped because no one is going to buy an album that already came out 3 times, the singles sucked, her performance on Amas was a mess, and no one who disses Mimi will prosper.

But it was top 20/25 on itunes and selling well online her album was in the 150/200s before her AMA performance. It isn’t selling as well in stores…if they ship limited copies on best buy and don’t send to Walmart/target then what is the point of doing a re-release.
So Eminem dissed Mariah…he didn’t prosper.

Trent, why do I have a feeling if it were Mariah you would conveniently mention that the album wasn’t released to Walmart and Target and limited copies at Best buy…but I understand you want a quick kii…they should have at least took back the copies of Roman Reloaded in stores and replaced them with The reup.

She couldn’t think of a better excuse? She could’ve earned more points by stating the obvious. May this be a lesson to Nicki. She needs to take her time and release a quality album. She’s too talented to continue to make a mockery of herself.

Well considering there are hundreds of copies of the original still sitting on shelves, can you blame them.

In other news, the fact that she really can’t watch her mouth on the radio is ridiculous. You’re an adult, not “da kid.” Then you wanna go on every station and call out the DJs for not playing your records. Grow up.

Please, Nicki is a joke and I glad people is already tired of her shtick, it is not working and the album sucks and you are making people pay for a reup that wasn’t doing that well for an artist of this hype? Please save this excuse for lil wayne and baby, but we are not buying it one bit.

You all are some hating as people on this blog. This blogger is always hating on this girl. It makes perfect sense. Her largest retailer isn’t selling the reup. Walmart isn’t either. A lot of people could not find the album. If previous re releases didn’t sell well from other artist, I understand why target and Walmart wanted to be safe.
