I guess coming out the closet really does have its perks…

Anyhow, I’m rooting for Melanie Fiona, Miguel, Usher (who should have had Record of the Year nom), Drake, Rihanna, and Nas. Drake should have been nominated for Album of the Year but I guess “I’m coming out” snatched that nom from him.

      • eva

Yup not better than his 1st IMO but definitely worthy at least more worthy than CO, and they didn’t even show Kelly Clarkson love in Album of the Year. Oh and Marvin Sapp betta SWEEP up all those Gospel nominations that album was so great and I’m not even that much of a Gospel fan

    • eva

DEAD @ the people that claim they’re most relevant and successful and always talking about their haters are nowhere to be found (Justin Bieber Nicki Minaj)

I’m here for Fun. Kelly Clarkson Tamia and Nas taking all what they are nominated for it would also be nice to see SWV Ellen Garner Melanie Fiona and Anita Baker (best remake ever she DID that) to take something home. Usher should take home R&B song for Climax (or whatever it was nominated for) Rihanna even though I am a big fan this is the one time I think she TRULY deserves a Grammy for her We Found Love video that was EXCELLENT and I don’t even watch videos anymore but I was on YouTube damn near everyday watching it. Only Grammy Frank Ocean should be taking home that I wouldn’t be mad at is No Church In The Wild other than that BYE. Next year there is gonna be a lot of “coming out” for Grammy nods but I’m sleep. All in all I won’t be watching, awards shows just don’t do it for me anymore always 1 great performance 2 okay ones and the rest boring or just terrible however I will be on your site for the review! Oh and if I find out Taylor Swift win Record of the Year over We Are Young or Stronger…*sigh*

      • eva

All theses typos lol I meant Elle Varner

        • jessica

I do think they overlooked we found love, but nominated where have you been. We found love was a huge record, and was a really successful one also.

    • Unbothered

I am 100% here for Tamia, Elle Varner, Anita Baker, and Miguel getting nominations! P!nk and Kelly Clarkson too! And I really hope Rihanna wins for the We Found Love video, it was definitely the best video of the year.

    • PinkLips

      Nicki Minaj = NOTHING!

    • sawa

these r some good good noms.

    • hi

LOL @ Nicki minaj! future ain’t lookin good boo

This cheap award show is rubbish, so next….

    • DOMOdotSCORE

I’m rooting for Melanie, Miguel, Drake, Gotye, Pink, & Diplo. I cannot wait to find out who’s performing at the awards.

    • KC

Elle & Melanie should’ve been nominated for R&B album but good list.

    • hmm

Rooting for Elle Varner, Frank Ocean , Miguel, LUKE JAMES (so happy he was even nominated) and Fun& Janelle.

    • Mike

The right people got snubbed imo including Bieber, Nicki and One Direction. Popularity does not equal quality. This is what makes the Grammys credible and relevant unlike the VMA’s, AMA’s, etc. It’s not about who has the most fans but who puts out the best quality from their genre.

    • the real xoxo

there are a few cock-ups but overall I agree with the grammy nominations this year. I hope Nas wins atleast 2 and I hope Miguel wins some aswell. Im glad Nicki is nowhere to be seen, serves her right for that awful performance last year!

    • the real xoxo

4 for you Nas, YOU GO NAS, and none for Nicki Minaj.

i am not here for frank ocean getting all these noms.. that album really was just… ugh.. if he deserves all these nominations then so does lana del rey because he basically mirrored her.
but this is the grammys and industry popularity and propaganda is all it is… hence beyonce breaking grammy records with her worst album to do date (i am.. sasha flop)

    • kgjhky

talk that talk is without a doubt pure garbage. and the fact that it was even recognised let alone nominated for several grammies. smh.. if flop that flop can get nominated then so can pink friday; roman refurbished

    • Jess

There is a few silly nominations but overall I’m happy! I’m so glad Frank and Miguel got nominations! LOL so I’m not the only one who’s happy JB didn’t get nominated?

    • Anna

i hope usher gets a grammy for Climax

    • CheReiHino

I still don’t get the hype that is channel Orange. I hope Miguel, Nas, and Lupe win.

      • http://sapphiresandsisters.wordpress.com InnaLeigh

Exactly….That’s what I’m saying… I mean, dude is NOT that nice. All of Frank’s songs sound like demos that need extra adlibs…. DRY! And 2 Chainz? Grammys turned shit years ago, now that I think about it…

    • Music-Doc

Congrats to Kelly Clarkson, Miguel, Adele, Luke James, Usher, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Anita Baker, Melanie Fiona, Tamia, Drake, Nas, John Legend, and Lupe Fiasco; all of whom deserve their nominations!

      • jessica

        what was adele nominated for?

        • Music-Doc

Adele is nominated for “Best Pop Solo Performance,” for her song “Set Fire to the Rain,” the live version from her DVD, Live At The Royal Albert Hall.

    • Ugh

this coming out the closest thing really paid off. congrats Frank Ocean *insert sarcasm*

I hope Monica wins that gospel grammy!

    • kgjhky

nas has never won a grammy, snoop dogg has never won a grammy.. still doesnt take away their contribution and influence in rap and music overall..
lil kim only has one grammy which was from doing lady marmalade (which missy put her on), basically without missy she would be grammy-less today.
eve got her only grammy from doing that gwen stefani duet…
apart from missy and lauryn hill (who is really on another level from these bitches) most female rappers dont have grammys… its still a struggle tbh
so i dont see the big deal with nicki’s snub. roman medicated is a garbage album and nobody should be surprised that she aint get shit… however she is talented enough and more than capable of delivery grammy worthy material. pink friday did get a few nods..
hopefully this is a lesson for her to actually do something sensible the next go round.

    • Truthteller

Yes! Loving these noms. Grammy’s are finally nominating the right people. Melanie Fiona, Swv, Miguel, Nas, Lupe Fiasco, and thank the high heavens that that carbon copy Minaj aint nominated. No Grammys for you No Nominika!! And I saw Justine Bieber’s manager mad he aint nominated. Oop! I guess they’re picking talent this year.

    • ni

Great list and Congratz to all… Let the games begin… s/o for Chris on his 12th nominations.

I´m really surprised that the single from Miguel is nominated for Song of Year!!! Congrats, he won´t win but congrats
I don´t see how that Kelly Clarkson song “Stronger” can be nominated for record and song of the year?? It´s a good pop song if you want but really, not the type of song that should be nominated for a grammy-main category
I hope Miguel and Florence win something, they deserved
And who the hell really thought Justin Beiber was going to be nominated?? Grammys get it wrong sometimes, but not that much :)
I´m ok with Frank having many nominations. But he may not win. With the grammys you never know
Overall, not bad, but I really think 2012 has been such a bad year for music in general, grammys didn´t have that many options, in fact I think that is the reason they let an R&B song get a song of the year nomination, very rare lately (not that Miguel doesn´t deserve it but u know what I mean)
Why is that horrendous girl Carly or whatever her name is nominated for best vocal performance? With Adele for example? One of those jokes you´ll always have even in the grammys

    • ML

I”m surprised Alicia Keys, Justin Bieber and Carrie Underwood got overlooked. I’m surprised Rick ross got a nomination. Didn’t like his last effort. Although christina is flopping I would have expected her to get one nomination. ALso, Maroon 5 only got 2 noms. After slaydele swept with 6 that were actually deserved, this year is going to be a weak year for winners.

      • JOHNVIDAL

Alicia and Xtina albums weren´t eligible for this year. They came out after october
