Jarell Perry is back to help kickoff your weekend with some great music! Continuing to experiment with his already diverse sound, the singer-songwriter has issued a new song called ‘Happy 4 U’, which features rapper Thurz, from his upcoming ‘Simple Things’ EP.

“I feel like we’re really bringing something fresh with the production on this one and the verse from Thurz took it next-level, Perry said while describing ‘Happy 4 U’. “Musically it just sums up that passive/aggressive vibe when you’re phasing someone out of your life and the grittiness that goes along with it.”

Perry has crafted another terrific song with ‘Happy 4 U’! The use of drums in the background, his falsetto and inclusion of verse by Thurz as a contrast to his vocals made this record a definite winner. Perry’s experimentation with his sound is reminiscent of Miguel but he goes a step further as he blurs the line between Pop and R&B. I’m ready to download his ‘Simple Things’ EP!
