When Tamar Braxton first performed her new song, ‘Love & War’, on ‘Tamar & Vince’ last week, there was widespread speculation that she was lip-syncing. However, when she appeared on ‘The Wendy Williams Show’ today, there was no doubt that she was indeed singing live.
After a brief stay at the summit of the iTunes top 200 chart, ‘Love & War’ has strangely fallen out of the top 20. In fact, the swift tumble is almost as almost as puzzling as the song’s initial ascent to the #1 spot without a single promotional appearance to support it. Watch Braxton belt it on ‘Wendy Williams’ below:
Braxton is a good singer but it is impossible to deny the nasal and almost forced quality of her voice during this showing. Perhaps she was simply having a bad day or the song is a bit beyond her ability. Either way, it’s great to see Braxton stepping out of Toni Braxton’s shadow and proving that she can do something other than behave like a bobble head doll.
