Rihanna’s “Stay” is one of the biggest hits of the year as well as one of the best performances in her largely unimpressive catalogue, primarily because of her sombre and emotional vocals. Joined by contestants The Voice (UK) contestants Ash Morgan and Matt Henry, Jessie J added dozens of unnecessary riffs, runs and high notes to “Stay”, and completely overwhelmed the arrangement. Only Henry seemed concerned about singing the song instead of showing off his range as his coach did far too much for no reason.
