Despite still not scoring a major hit single, Chris Brown’s X album is still on track for a July 16 release. Showing no signs of change in schedule, the singer with a robotic voice sponsored by Melodyne products, has announced that the record will feature several major guest acts, including Rihanna.
Kelly Rowland, Nicki Minaj, B.o.B, Kendrick Lamar and Wiz Khalifa will join Rihanna on X. At the 2013 BET Awards last weekend, Brown performed his current single, “Don’t Think They Know”, which features vocals by the late Aaliyah as well as a new song, “Love More”, with the assistance of Minaj.
The lead X single, “Fine China”, has thus far peaked at #31 on the Billboard Hot 100, although Brown heavily promoted the song with numerous live performances, such as at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards and the BET Awards. “Don’t Think They Know”, on the other hand, has climbed to #87 on the chart.
Of course, Brown’s latest Rihanna collaboration will likely attract the most attention. The most recent reunion was on the song, “Nobody’s Business” from the Bajan superstar’s Unapologetic album. Listen to the tune below:
