Dear Jordin Sparks, if you’re reading this article then please heed my warning: This is a bad idea. Ths former chart-topper has announced the release date of her would be comeback single, “Before it Breaks”, and it will feature her “boyfriend” Jason Derulo.
As announced via her Twitter page, “Before it Breaks” will premiere in just 10 days on August 1st. The song was co-written by Harmony Samuels, Courtney Harrell and Al Sherrod Lambert, and will include an appearance by Derulo. As the crowd fell into an awkward silence…
For unexplained reasons, Sparks and Derulo have been promoting their relationship in the media, and have appeared as a “couple” in Glamour magazine as well as The Wendy Williams Show. The latter even dedicated his Pop hit “The Other Side” to Sparks and claimed that it detailed their relationship. Now, just days after rumours spread that they have gotten married, comes the timely announcement of “Before it Breaks”.
In other news, there was another song in the running for Sparks’ comeback: Ariana Grande’s “The Way”. However, she reportedly lost the chance to release the tune, which was also co-written by Samuels and Lambert, when she encountered label issues. Do you think Sparks could have topped Grande’s version of “The Way”?
