Emeli Sande and her hair

Even the best singers have their off days and today was Emeli Sande’s turn to be a bit under the weather. Appearing on ABC’s Good Morning America to perform “My Kind of Love” from her Our Version of Events debut album, the songbird was off her mark as she struggled to hit he usually clear high notes.

Regardless of her troubles, Sande has made quite a mark for herself across the globe. Our Version of Events has sold over 1.9 million copies in the UK and continues to chart on the Billboard 200 in the US where it has sold just north of 200,000 copies with limited promotion.

Sande also appeared at the 2013 MTV VMA last weekend and much to my surprise, people actually recognised her! So, she certainly has room for growth. Watch Sande on GMA below:
