Harmony Samuels previously confirmed speculation that Ariana Grande’s camp is determined to copy elements of Mariah Carey’s sound. now that I’ve reminded you of the facts, here is a new song from the young singer called “You’ll Never Know” from her upcoming Yours Truly debut album.
Featuring carefully stacked vocals in its chorus and staccato style singing in the verses, “You’ll Never Know” isn’t a great departure from the catchy uptempo, MOR music released by Grande thus far. The song is infectious with colourful, non-threatening quips that position Grande as the perfect anti-Miley Cyrus for more conservative parents to tolerate on their household radios and a melody bubbly melody similar to Mya’s “Lock U Down”.
