Tamar Braxton tries her best

You’re about to witness that ramifications of oversinging on the vocal cords. After roaring through a medley of her songs on Good Morning America and plugging her Love & War album across the media earlier this week, Tamar Braxton suffered a minor injury that left her pain as she performed on Live! With Kelly & Michael today.

Refusing to lip-sync or relay on a backtrack – this would have been an acceptable situation employ either tactic – Braxton pushed her way through a rendition of “Love & War” on Kelly & Michael. The singer was in obvious pain as she tried to hit her notes and the end result was a shaky yet still acceptable rendition of the song.

Braxton’s Love & War album is currently on course to sell north of 105,000 copies and is battling with Ariana Grande’s Yours Truly for the top slot on next week’s Billboard 200. Watch Braxton sing the title track of Kelly & Michael below:
