Her name is Adele so hear her roar! The Pop/Soul singer has achieved a phenomenal feat this week as her ’21′ album has now spent more weeks at #1 on the Billboard 200 than any other release of the 21st century thus far.
It seems like the only person who can combat Adele’s chart reign is Amy Winehouse. The late singer has once again claimed the top spot on the UK Albums Chart, denying her contemporary another shot at the crown. However, Adele isn’t going down without a fight.
Adele just keeps winning. 27 weeks after the release of ‘21′, the album remains in the top 3 of the United World Chart with continued increases in sales.
Just when Kelly Rowland thought it was safe to release an album. While managing to outsell Beyonce’s ’4′ LP on this week’s Billboard 200, the singer’s ‘Here I Am‘ has missed the top spot and was outdone by the ever-present force that is Adele’s ’21′.

Jill Scott has dared to address the taboo topic of celebrity death. In a recent interview, the Soul singer spoke about the recent passing of Amy Winehouse and declared that “we all know it was coming”.

The late Amy Winehouse is honored on the cover of VIBE’s August/September JUICE issue. The singer/songwriter was found dead at her home on July 23rd.
