Chris Brown Proves Singing Ability With Acoustic Performance

Chris Brown has long been criticised for his use of auto-tune and studio mechanics in his music. However, the singer, who will be releasing his ‘Fortune’ album in early 2012, silenced his detractors with this acoustic performance that displayed exactly what he can do with his voice.

It is obvious that the person who has had biggest influence on Brown’s singing style is Brandy. They way in which he used his vocal runs, especially in his lower register, entailed a strong similarity to what Brandy did in many of her songs since ‘Full Moon’.
Still, Brown has yet to realise his full potential as a singer. With his songwriting ability and unique tone, I suspect that we have yet to see what he can really do with his voice.

I never doubted breezy vocal.he Is a good example of real talent. Singer, dancer, artist, actor, b-baller ,and the list goes on.

Why do people still doubt his vocal ability? He’s already proved he could sing on so many different occasions. If youre an avid fan and watched many of his performances you’ll know that. He has the ability and it will continue to grow. If you doubt this, listen to All Back on FAME or I’ll Go on Graffiti.

Amazing as always!!!!! There was NEVER a doubt in my mind..if you really listen to his music ALL of it like I do then you will know he’s just plain amazing. He can dance, sing, entertain, act…he’s a total package as an artist !!!!

I don’t understand why ppl think he can’t sing, I mean you have to be able to sing, to be a singer! Yall act like he never sings live! If yall don’t think he can, then you must not like his music cause he sounds just like his songs and in that case why are commenting on something u don’t listen to ?! And the whole rhianna thing, ppl say she can’t sing because when she sings live it doesn’t song like the cd, so she’s not a great live performer, different from what chris is, so stop trying to compare!

@Eddie, Im thinking the same thing, MTV needs to do an Unplugged w/ Chris Brown. If Trey Songz can have one, Breezy needs one! Im waiting for an intimate acoustic performance, hell even an album. Someone contact Chris right now and tell him. His voice is great and will only get greater!
My love for Chris Brown is similar to my love for Beyonce, it’ll never go away no matter what anyone say’s about them. They can lip synch, steal writing credits, etc., and I will forever be their #1 fan. Just thought I’d share that with you guys

First off, I’ve heard Chris sing live before in concert and he has a great voice. Why he uses autotune I will never know. And to the people saying he can’t sing, who are yall listening to? Cuz it wasn’t chris on this video. The ones still bashing him are the ones still being biased about what happened. Newsflash: if you don’t like him why even check out the post. And to ryan: rihanna is no singer….anywho, as far as vocal ability, chris has it and I agree trent, once he digs deep and realizes his true potential he’ll be unstoppable. I actually liked this alot. One thing I noticed was that the girl whoever he was singing with has good vocal skills to and hopefully he gives her time to shine on a proper duet
