Terrible record sales aren’t going to keep Chrisette Michele down. Despite the poor commercial reception of her latest album, Better, the singer continued to plug her music this week by appearing on The Steve Harvey Morning Show where she performed “Charades” and “Love Won’t Leave Me Out”.
The 2013 Essence Music Festival is the place to be this weekend if you’re a fan of real R&B. Among the performers at the blockbuster event was Chrisette Michele, who brought her own unique stylings to the stage at the CoverGirl Superlounge during the July 5 segment of the show.

Chrisette Michele’s Better album was initially due for release on April 30th but its debut was quietly rescheduled. Featuring Wale, 2 Chainz, Bilal and Dunson, the set will now arrive on June 11th and she has wasted no time with the unveiling of its official track list.
There is one rule regarding album cover art to which most artist adhere: always look at the camera. Why is that so important? It gives the illusion that they are looking outward toward the consumer, thus establishing an immediate connection was possible buyers. Yet, Christte Michele did the opposite with her new Better set.
