Burning Up: JRDN

Continuing our quest to highlight fresh talent, The Lava Lizard is proud to present our new feature Burning Up! This latest section will focus on young artists currently blazing their way into the industry, offering a much needed break from the auto-tune madness of today’s radio.

Launching Burning Up is Canadian singer Jordan Croucher also known as JRDN. Currently preparing to crack the US market, he is best known for his hit single ‘U Can Have It All’ which made waves across the web last year.

JRDN is definitely a talented singer and has a lot of potential to be a hit in the US. However, the key to his success will be the right material.

With Trey Songz currently obsessed with singing about his alleged sexual triumphs, JRDN has to bringing something new to the R&B market and avoid falling into the niche of never going platinum. I suggest live instrumentals similar to Maxwell’s ‘BLACKsummers’night’ where his voice will truly be able to shine.

This is DEFINITELY a radio friendly song, especially for summer.

And, we need a redbone singer in the industry… I want more JRDN.

    Trent, totally agree.

Leave the bed songs to trey. Go for an Maxwell vibe, Live instruments and really push your voice like beyonce did on ’4′.
