Mary J. Blige ‘Behind This Music’ special aired this weekend on Vh1. Looking back at her tumultuous life and career, the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul spoke openly about her struggles with drugs, alcohol and abuse.
May J. Blige’s ‘Behind The Music’ special will air on July 24th at 10pm on Vh1. As seen in this glimpse of the episode, the singer will address several issues from her life including the notorious substance abuse that almost ended her career.

Mary J. Blige was spotted at the McDonald’s 365Black Awards today. The singer, who will release her ‘My Life 2: The Journey Continues’ album on September 20th, kept it simple at the event which was held at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana.
