Remember when we said that the men of R&B are constricted by hypermasculine gender stereotypes that force them constantly prove their love of naked women? Well, Omarion has shared a perfect example of that issue via behind the scenes footage of his ‘Let’s Talk’ video.
Shortly after announcing that he had officially joined Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group, Omarion visited BET’s ’106 & Park’ with his new team to discuss the venture. The singer, who is now also known as Maybach O, was clearly bursting with excitement as he stood with the group of men also signed to the label.
We could all breathe a sigh of relief because Omarion has gotten a new record deal. However, that’s not the only major change in the former B2K member’s life as he has adopted a new nickname to mark this major event in his life.
Rihanna’s ‘We Found Love’ barreled into the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 last week and set a new record on the tally. However, despite continued growth, the track still fell short of toppling this week’s reigning champion, ‘Someone Like You’ by Adele.
