Did you know that The Jackson 5′s final #1 song, ‘I’ll Be There’, was their biggest hit on the Billboard Hot 100?
Released on August 28th 1970, ‘I’ll Be There’ held the #1 spot on the chart for 5 weeks. The track was the band’s fourth consecutive #1 song on the Hot 100 – following ‘I Want You Back’, ‘ABC’ and ‘The Love You Save’ - and earned them the title of being the first act in US history to have their first 4 singles top the chart. However, despite scoring 7 additional top 10 singles, The Jackson 5 never returned to the summit of the Hot 100.
