Get your bible, your hymns, some salt and the Book of Shadows because the time has come for us to pray for Ashanti. Why are we lifting our voices in prayer to the guardians of the watch tower? The singer-songwriter’s ‘BraveHeart’ album has been delayed until January 2013.
After two previous push backs, the arrival of Ashanti’s ‘BraveHeart’ has been postponed until January 1st 2013. It was just last month when it revealed at the record wouldn’t hit stores until August 28th – four months later than its original scheduled April 17th debut – and now it seems as though it might never be released.
Among the songs on ‘BraveHeart’ are the lead single, ‘The Woman You Love (Ft. Busta Rhymes)’ and the midtempo ‘She Can’t’. Yet, there is no word regarding if any changes will be made to the record’s lineup by January or if Ashanti will opt to release a different lead single, thus classing ‘The Woman You Love’ as just a buzz track since it failed to chart on the Billboard Hot 100.

I really don’t know what to say at this point. How could anybody justify such a lengthly delay of an album? Perhaps, Ashanti has chosen the Leona Lewis route and postponed ‘BraveHeart’ for such a long period of time so that she can revamp the entire project.
Honestly, at this point, Ashanti basically lost all buzz for her comeback. Hence, she should just return to the studio, refine her sound, plan a better promotional campaign and try again. There is nothing left to be said.
