Beyonce’s long awaited video for ‘Best Thing I Never Had’ finally hit the airwaves moments ago. Directed by Diane Martel, the visual supports the Babyface-penned track that currently sits at #29 on the Billboard Hot 100.

This is a simple video for a simple song. However, it would have been more interesting if Beyonce went the comedi route with the visual. She even had a golden opportunity to come out of her shell with the prom theme and make the clip into a hilarious production to remember (like Pink’s ‘Raise Your Glass’).
Still, with the song already climbing the charts and gaining airplay thanks to her intense promotional efforts, it has a life of its own at this point. Good enough.

Anyway’s I for one liked the simplicity of it. I wasn’t expecting anything over the top. She looked marvelous. The prom scene was a great addition. She looked SOOOOOO young there.
