JLS refuse to take a break as they drop the official video for their new single, ‘She Make Me Wanna (Ft. Dev)’. The Colin Tilley-directed clip is the first release from their upcoming third studio album which hits stores later this year.

I’m still trying to understand the overall direction of this group. Clearly they are targeting the young teens who are attracted to their looks and pretty colours but musically they have not done anything that they can claim as their own sound.

Moreover, it is quite troubling to think that JLS is the only major boy band left in the game yet are doing nothing to redefine the Pop music landscape and leave their mark anywhere beyond the charts. Still, regardless of their stiff dancing and lack of musical depth, they remind us of a time when boy bands ruled the world.

JLS may not be the best representatives of a forgotten era but somebody has to do it. Let’s see where they go from here.
