Jordin Sparks Performs National Anthem At Major League Baseball All-Star Game

Jordin Sparks brought high octave belting to the Major League Baseball All-Star game in Phoenix yesterday. The ‘American Idol’ winner performed the US national anthem for the packed venue and didn’t miss a single note.

@Rihbaby you have to be joking? I think Rihanna is entertaining… but vocally… not relevant to anything having to do w/ being a vocalist. Back to the topic at hand… Jordin did GREAT… excellent rendition… flawless…

@RihBaby There’s a technique to singing off-key and overusing vibrato? Hmm. I guess you learn something new everyday.

Anywho, this was a really pretty rendition. She didn’t over sing it, but still managed to add her own style. I liked it.

Jordin definitely toned the power in her voice down. In prior performances of the National Anthem, she definitely injected a bit of spark in her the lyric, so to speak. This was very watered down based on her other renditions she has done in the past. She still slayed, though. Can’t wait for the new album! :)
