New Song: Keke Palmer – ‘Walls Come Down’

It has been quite some time since we’ve heard new music from Keke Palmer but she is finally ready to jump off our television screens and get back to the radio airwaves. The 17 year old has released a new song, entitled ‘Walls Come Down’, which features her venturing into the Dance/Pop market.

Written by Bruno Mars and produced by Fernando Garibay (Lady Gaga’s ‘Born This Way’), the track will promote her upcoming appearance on Teen Nick’s Degrassi which airs on July 18th at 9pm ET. Palmer is expected to release sophomore album later this year via Interscope, preceded by the lead single ’Show Me’.

Listen to ‘Walls Come Down’ below:

It is always interesting to see young artists with actual talent grow because they have the potential to talk their careers in almost any direction. Palmer is clearly testing the waters in the dominant Dance/Pop market but with her voice like her it is obvious than she can do a lot more, especially in the field of R&B.

I am eager to hear what she delivers on her new album later this year, particularly since she has already logged studio time with high ranking acts such as Bruno Mars and Fernando Garibay. With other young artists including Tiffany Evans also working on new material, it seems that that the next generation is gearing up to take over.
