After after doing nothing but radio interviews and taking half-naked pictures, Kelly Rowland has finally gotten serious about her promotion. The singer appeared on ‘The Tonight Show with Jay Leno’ to perform her Urban hit ‘Motivation’.
Watch the performance below:
Although this performance demonstrated Rowland’s usual gasping for air and an array of flat notes, Rowland gave a good showing. What was most enjoyable was the fact that she didn’t regurgitate her BET Awards choreography and that she sang live for the first time on television in almost a year.
Hopefully, Rowland keeps the momentum going and doesn’t think that one performance a month is enough to sell this album. She isn’t the type of artist who can sell a record by the power of her name alone, especially when most people only know her as that other girl from Destiny’s Child.
Props to Neon Limelight for the footage!

She should’ve used a pre record track , cause those vocals ain’t it . She’s gorgeous , i love the suit , but that hair does nothing for her . To this day i don’t think i’ve seen her with a better hairstyle than the one she had at the 2005 BET Awards
She Killed it! I watched it twice
I wanna hear the rest of the album now. We need more performances from you Kelly!
Kelly Mutha Fucking slayyeeedddd!!!!
yall are crazy. she sounded terrible and was out of breath. that performance was very lackluster
Yeah… what you said
vocals were at times cringeworthy. I attribute that to nerves. She should use half pre-recorded and half live. I so appreciate her imbuing her performance with showman type breaks and shoutouts. That was different. You don’t normally see that with performers on tv. Loved the choreography and outfit. The hair not so much.
Hopefully, the more she get out there and perform, the more she will grow and make changes.
kelly killed this performance..she did the damn thanngggg….only thing i wld love for her to do is work on her nerves, cse it affects her vocals;…maybe a bit voice training wldnt be bad,and work out in hells while she sings that wld help her to not run out of breath while dancing..
heels
KELLY NEEDS A VOCAL COACH!!!!!!
omg people complain when she used a pre recorded track and they complain when she sings completely live! smh. But like someone said above all she needs to work on is her nerves and she’ll be good money.
I think she did a great if though she was horse. Her dancing was on point and she
fire up the crowed,Even Jay Jeno was wow by Kelley’s performance and a good
thing.
MS KELENDRIA SNATCHED ummkay.
The vocals were shaky at parts and she did a little too much with the melody too often BUT the CONFIDENCE, THE SWAG, THE CHARISMA, was ALL THERE.
That’s how a DIVA throws down. *standing ovation*
TTrent stop coming after Kelly. This was a great performance. Her vocals were good. Sometimes it’s like that when you’re dancing and singing. But it wasn’t what you are claiming it to be. Gasping. You’re certainly reaching. Overall, she was amazing. Her notes were not flat, it is just her tone. She also wasn’t hoarse either.
