Mary J. Blige got a head start on her competition when she released a preview of her ‘My Life II: The Journey Continues (Act 1)’ album yesterday. However, Rihanna, who will rumble with the diva on the charts on November 21st, was not far behind with snippets from her ‘Talk That Talk’ album.
The raunchy ‘Talk That Talk’ includes Rihanna’s current #1 single, ‘We Found Love’, as well as the track’s followup, ‘You Da One’. The latter will be issued to radio in its entirety on November 11th, before being available on iTunes on November 13th. ‘Talk That Talk’ will debut on November 21st.

Although Rihanna and Mary J are releasing their albums on the same say, I don’t think there will be any major competition. Rih will slay her in record sales, she’s more relevant these days. I think people are getting tired of Mary J’s ‘struggles’ she sings about every album. Rihanna is fresh and new, and the snippets give us a new side to Rih.

I DISAGREE 100% Mary SALES will be FINE!!!
BUT RIHANNA GURRLLLLLL I havent bought a album of yours since A GIRL LIKE ME….I WILL BE BUYING TALK THAT TALK yesssss COCKINESSS AND BIRTHDAY CAKE
MJB’s sales will be fine, she has a large, DEDICATED fan base…and MJB’s 1st week sales are always high
I’m excited by Cockiness, Roc Me Out, Birthday Cake, & Watch and Learn im sure she has atleast 1 or 2 more #1′s on this album… weather she’ll have the number 1 album who knows. if you the one jumps up the chats 2 Mary may be in trouble
Snippets on repeat for two weeks
everyone thinks the battle is between rihanna and mjb but there is also daughtry and nickelback -sighs- taylor swift jackie evancho michael jackson
this will be interesting, mary j vs rihanna. mary j’s track record always give her 300k+ first week. rihanna hasn’t sold more than 220k first week
Taylor Swift is releasing same day too. oh boy. no #1 for riri for sure
Sounds good. Not sure if this is a classic album but i dont think Rihanna is looking too make classic album.
The beats are really good and most of the vibe is quite urban which i am surprised about. This album is full of sex songs thou.
her album sounds exactly how her album cover looks; glossy, tacky and overworked. i guess that’s whats become of the music industry today, sad. ready for real music not whatever this is.
Already #15 on the iTunes charts and hasn’t even been released!
Ummm I’ll wait until I can hear the entire album.
Don’t care if the CD is #15 on itunes that don’t mean that she will have the #1 CD. Rihanna is against Mary J, MJ, Taylor Swift, Daughtry who have a very large fanbase and they don’t have to do the payola thing.
Also Taylor Swift already have 5 songs on the itunes chart. Go figure.
Not a rihanna fan but the snippets sound pretty good. I like Cake lol
um no this isn’t for me i’ll buy certian songs on itunes thats it
I’m gonna wait for the entire album to leak. Bc these snippets….I don’t know.
I’m not tryin to sound like i’m hatein but this shit sounds like it was done in a week, with no thought behind it just extra sounds that she had left over. The only one I was feelin was farewell, and her sreamin almost ruined it for me. Idk right now MJb album is lookin so good to me right now.
I honestly dont get it. Some of this songs sound like stuff she recorded already. Its just trendy music, people like getting high on coke and going to raves with the glow sticks n ish these days, i get it. But if you think 10 years from now people are going to say “I want to hear some old school Rihanna” smh its not happening. I dont think much of this type of music thats “pop”ular these days
