JoJo Eyes April Release Date For ‘Jumping Trains’

JoJo’s ‘Jumping Trains’ has been chronically delayed for quite some time but it appears that the singer is finally nearing a decision regarding a concrete release date for the record. However, don’t expect to hear the material in the very near future because the album won’t debut until spring.

Despite promising that the LP would arrive in early 2012, ‘Jumping Trains’ will hit stores in April - the start of the second quarter. The project’s lead single, ‘Disaster’, peaked at #87 on the Billboard Hot 100 in September and has since fallen off the chart.

JoJo and her label – Interscope Records – are certainly playing the waiting game with her supporters but at this point almost all of the anticipation for ‘Jumping Trains’ has faded. She is undeniably talented and definitely deserves a spot at the top of the charts but she won’t get that success until her album is released.

What exactly is the cause for all of these delays? ‘Disaster’ was slowly gaining momentum but JoJo suddenly stopped promoting the tune as it began attract attention from Top 40 radio. Something has to be wrong with her team if they couldn’t understand the major flaws in her recent promotional campaign.

On the bright side, JoJo could use this most recent delay to record some stronger material. In fact, it would be a fantastic opportunity to craft a well-rounded album that would target both the Pop and Urban formats instead of just the former.

   Her team is definitely a mess, but after being essentially forced out of the business for five years while she was still just a rising star, she’s in such a difficult position.

   I’ve been a fan of JoJo since she was 13 and she’s an extremely talented girl. It’s really a shame she had such a raggedy record label. I really wish her team would put more effort into pushing her in the right direction. I’m still excited to hear the project! If anyone deserves to do well, she does!

   I’m thinking she saw that Disaster wasn’t an instant hit and went ahead and recorded more Urban flavored songs which is where she gets the strongest support from.

   Glad to hear some sort of news about Jumping Trains’ release. I hope her team can get it together by then, she’s too good to be as underrated as she is! She’s probably one the most vocally talented young female artists. I’m really looking forward to hearing the album!

   We need better material girl! I’m rooting for her but this last single she released was so unnapealing that I’m hoping she can write (or her songwriters) much better songs. She has all the potential of the world, she just needs the proper material to slay all the talentless bitches who are ruling the charts right now.

   I love JoJo to death, but she needs to stop trying to be this Pop/Rock singer. It doesn’t work for her. She gets more Love and Support from her Urban Audience. I think she should sing more Soulful songs. It fits her a lot better.
