Nicole Scherzinger has been public enemy #1 since she played a decisive – or should we say indecisive? – role in ‘The X Factor (US)’ contentant Rachel Crow’s removal from the series. Hence, it was quite unsurprising when it was announced that she has decided to quit the series.
According to E! Online reports, Scherzinger chose to leave ‘X Factor (US)’ so that she could focus on her imaginary music career and her perpetually delayed ‘Killer Love’ US release. Her decision to exit the show was accepted by media mogul and fellow judge Simon Cowell.
However, Scherzinger wasn’t the only personality to depart from ‘X Factor (US)’. Host Steve Jones has also exited the series but it appears that it wasn’t his decision to leave. In fact, as reports indicated, he was aptly fired.
Read what Jones had to say about his’X Factor (US)’ below:
SteveJones I wont be hosting next seasons XFactor which is a shame but I cant complain as I’ve had a great time. Good luck to everyone on the show. 1/30/12 8:31 PM |
Really, who did not see this coming? It was blatant obvious that the viewers of the show disliked Scherzinger since early in the season and her role in Crow’s dismissal simply made the situation worse. Additionally, her nonsensical bits of advice, which included references to rainbows, love, light and the ridiculous “this song gave you wings” statement that she said after every good performance definitely annoyed Cowell.
Still, Scherzinger needed the ‘X Factor (US)’ to help her make an impact in the US and now that she has left the show, it appears that her final lifeline is gone. Maybe she should just rejoin the Pussycat Dolls because she actually sold records as their only lead singer.
Let’s see who will replace Scherzinger on ‘X Factor (US)’. My vote is for Kelly Rowland because she did a terrific job on the UK version of the show and she needs a platform in the US to save her career launch her next album.
For those of you who want Mariah Carey to join the ‘X Factor (US)’, I respectfully decline. She is simply too big of a star and the demands of her upcoming project, which is a major turning point in her career, require her full attention. Hence, a simple mentorship and a week of performances in her honor would be ideal.
Mariah is a big star? hell not anymore Trent, She can be on the Xfactor because what is she doing right about now. It’s a Beyoncé, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Kesha, Bruno Mars, etc… world now. Mariah needs to eat humble pie and accept that shes nobody’s threat now.
oh and i forgot Adele, the only woman that’s ruling the world whilst sitting down on her chair!
And we agree again! To me though, Kelly Rowland on another reality series would be redundant. She needs to go home and reflect on what should be her next move.
Also, Mariah is too big a star to be a judge for this show. To me it would cheapen her brand. XFactor also hasn’t proven to be a the major hit Fox thought it would be.
Thank GOD Nicole and boring ass STEVE left the show. He made Melanie’s finale the most bleakest climax win EVER! I agree with Nick… Mariah needs to focus on her career! I would love to see her mentor the TOP 5 to be honest.
And as Mariah one said… “They can’t compete with MC”
POW!
Good-bye girl, you won’t be missed. i agree, Mariah is a huge star and way to big to be a judge on a talent show.
@Hugo, how is Mariah not a huge star? She doesn’t have to be doing anything right now. She has absolutely nothing to prove. The the best selling female artist of all time. OF ALL TIME!….were you born in the late 90s?
@ Hugo ….I don’t understand how you can diss one of the greatest singers of all time. Mariah Carey will never be a nobody. Her last album made platnium status! And the one before that! That was straight nonsense. She can still compete with all the artists you mentioned. And sing circles around each one without breaking a sweet! Now I believe Nicole is also a wonderful Singer. Killer love was an awesome album. She just needs better promotion and better videos!
I’m not here for people who cannot recognize Mariah’s legacy to the music. Ignorance at its best.
Bye Nicole, none will miss you. She better concentrate her energy on her “imaginary music career” Yassssss Trent!
LOL its funny how people are dissing her music career. She has one. Though its nit as successful as Beyonce nor Adele’s. She is an amazing Singer and the entertainment industry recognizes that. I’ve seen her perform with some of the greats. She is highly demanded. And if one performance don’t tell you why…this link will http://www.youtube.com/watch?nomobile=1&v=tE6SRBnDHx8
who is Mariah Carey? xD and imaginary career of Scherzy is hillarious… I’m sad cuz of Scherzy cuz she’s greaaat singer! she should quit releasing Killer love in USA… and move on on another project for WW…
I vote for Kelly Rowland to take this spot, She needs U.S relevance she keeps running away for several months. and Maybe Nick Cannon can come from Americas got talent to this show. And MC as a judge that would be intimidating because you will feel like your performance and vocals will always be compared her vocal ability. Real talk, Kelly is too big for this show as well, she is scared to take a chance and take risk as a solo Artist she keeps playing it safe. She only took risk and went hard in DC. Having individual success scares alot of people and it scares her. She didn’t know what to do after that BET performance. So this show sort of puts her in a given spot light and guaranties at least one national televised performance.
@Hugo: You’re an idiot.
…as if you’re Carey’s spokesperson, Trent.
@T, I completely agree. This would be a good look for Kelly & u kno wat? It may help boost her esteem as a solo force in the US. She has the talent. She just lacks solo confidence. I say bring her.
[...] Confirmed: Nicole Scherzinger Quits ‘X-Factor’ [...]
Yup Mariah is simply to huge a star for this show. An appearance or judge/mentorship here and there is cool though.
