Did you know that Babyface co-wrote Madonna’s ‘Take a Bow’?

Babyface co-wrote ‘Take a Bow’ with Madonna for her ‘Bedtime Stories’ album in 1994. The song became the 11th of Madonna’s 12 #1 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 and held the top spot on the tally for 7 weeks – the longest-running chart-topper of her career.

‘Take a Bow’ was also a surprise hit on Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart where it peaked at #40. To date, Madonna has yet to land another entry in the top 40 on the listing.

   Why am I not surprised this is my favorite Madonna song? Babyface does not get all the credit he rightfully deserves. He was a musical GOD in the 90s!

   I knew this. Babyface was (is) an AMAZING songwriter. This song and video are one of my most beloved by MADONNA. Thank you for highlighting this, Lava Lizard and thank you always for your love of music and your appreciation of its history and place in culture.
