As the release of Melanie Fiona’s ‘The MF Life’ inches closer, new song from the singer has surfaced. ‘Changed the Record’ features rapper B.o.B.‘ and is featured as the 7th cut on the track list of the LP, which hits stores on March 20th.
2012 is certainly developing into a great year for Fiona. In addition to her ’4 AM’ single peaking at #7 on Urban radio with consistent airplay gains, she also earned two Grammy Awards for her ‘Fool For You’ collaboration with Cee Lo Green.
Listen to Fiona’s ‘Change’ below:
This is exactly this type of song that Fiona needs to finally crack the upper regions of the Billboard Hot 100. Thus far, she has been successful on the Urban formats but lacked the mainstream appeal to impact Top 40/Mainstream radio. Yet, the Pop appeal of this track’s production and the feature of B.o.B. – an MTV favourite – could give Fiona the momentum she needs to land her first major crossover hit.
I like this. I hope she has success with this album because she certainly deserves it. Can’t wait for her and BoB album
I love it! Can’t wait to hear the new album long over due

This is definitely a good musical direction for her, she should grow this sound but this particular track is missing something.
