After Mary J. Blige ruined the US national anthem, ‘The Star Spangled Banner‘, at the 2012 NBA All-Star Game, many people wondered if the intimidating song was just too difficult to sing. However, it appears that Blige was simply out of her league because JoJo delivered an incredible rendition of the tune at the Clippers vs Suns game.

Demonstrating a mixture of range and control, JoJo navigated her way through the ‘Star Spangled Banner’ without missing a beat. Surely, she proved that the restrained vocal performance on her recently released, ‘Sexy to Me’, was just a fun experiment.

JoJo was phenomenal with this performance. She has an astounding understanding of her range and instead of trying to force her voice beyond its limitations in a similar manner to Blige, JoJo focused on delivering a truly wonderful show.
