Kelly Clarkson covers Christina Aguilera's 'Beautiful'.
Kelly Clarkson is known for covering songs by her favourite artists during her shows so it was only a matter of time before she tackled a Christina Aguilera record. While performing a concert at the Taco Bell Arena in Boise last evening, the songbird accepted the challenge of singing Aguilera’s award-winning classic ‘Beautiful’.
Now, if you’re a fan of Aguilera’s usual screaming then Clarkson’s rendition of ‘Beautiful’ might be too reserved for your enjoyment. Either way, watch her performance below:
Clarkson sounded great! Although she was a bit off-key with the climactic high belt – a note that Aguilera herself curiously can’t handle live – she was powerful throughout the set. Isn’t it refreshing to hear a singer who knows how to belt without sounding strangled?

Agreed, she was very off key can’t handle the song the way Aguilera does it what was 3:48 – 3:52 the audence only clapped at that part because she had got loud.

And I wish ppl would stop acting like Christina always sings Beautiful one way. She has changed it up numerous times.
Aww, she did a great job. At a concert it not always about hitting every note perfectly. I love when an artist really gets into it and connects with the audience.
Kelly has a much better technique than Aguilera but this performance was incredibly boring. Singers should not mess up with other singers’ signature songs. Stick to your material Kelly.

Really Trentisha? Your Xtina hate is getting old and boring & pressedFULL AF. Christina sings this song better live than she does on the record. She also recorded this song in 1 go, no retakes and all that and it still earned her a Grammy award for best female pop vocal!
If you say she ‘screams this song’ then it must be great because I don’t know anyone that screams & sounds good.
This song is not THAT hard to sing, and weather someone has big vocal range or no vocal range. No 1 can sing this song like or better than Christina. It’s songs no 1 can touch especially her tone to this song.
For Trentisha saying X screams the song.. Well I’d rather listen to her ‘Screaming’ the song on big stages, where she gets PAID to sing them rather then listen to his wackass speaking voice voice on you-tube.

Xtina recorded the song in several takes. Any real fan/Stan knows this. Xtina sings the hell out of the track on the album but live, it just isn’t the same. Don’t let your standom cloud your vision, hearing and judgment. Trent has always said he likes Xtina, just not the screaming. You sound so ridiculous

Yeah Xtina did more than one take. Linda said she had to keep stopping X because she started riffing and running.

Xtina sand it better live than the record & if you watched ‘Storytellers’ Xtina you would hear her sing and then you would hear Linda talk. She did not do several takes in Studio with, she did it in 1 go in the booth with a mic
I love the live version of this when she performed it on Ellen show, cnn heroes, back to basics concert, stripped concert. Better than studio version.
Oh Trent, there is a reason why Linda gave Christina the song and it is because her voice/tone/passionate singing can deliver the song’s message the way nobody else in the music industry right now. I’m sure that if linda wanted constipated dolphins to understand its beautiful message she woulda given it to moo moo. In today’s great singing we like raw vocals we’re not here for mariah’s unsincere singing abilities. Sorry >=(
