Ashanti stars in her ‘Rain on Me’ video.
Did you know that Ashanti has not charted a #1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 in over 10 years?
The last week in which Ashanti occupied the top slot of the Hot 100 was when her debut single, ‘Foolish’, ruled the chart during the week of June 22nd 2002. The song was #1 for 10 weeks, starting on April 20th 2002, and was the 19th most successful song of the 2000-2009 decade.
However, Ashanti has yet to score another followup #1 hit on the Hot 100. In fact, she hasn’t even cracked the top 10 of the ranking since appearing as a featured act on Ja Rule’s ‘Wonderful’ alongside R. Kelly in 2004. Watch the video for that tune below:
