New Video: The-Dream – ‘Dope Bitch (Ft. Pusha T)’

The-Dream and Pusha T star in their drug-fueled new video ‘Dope Bitch’.

What you’re about to see is the most disgusting and embarrassing release of The-Dream’s career. The once promising singer-songwriter has issed his new video, ‘Dope Bitch’, which features Pusha T, and it is a depiction of silliest facets of Hip-Hop culture.

Basking in clouds of what appears to be cocaine, The-Dream effectively set his career back about five years via the ‘Dope Bitch’ visual. What a wonderful way to create shock value for his ‘Love IV XXMII’, due on August 14th. Watch the video for ‘Dope Bitch’ below:

Is ‘Dope Bitch’ really what The-Dream, a man who has worked with Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Britney Spears and dozens of other major artists, wants as a reflection of his own artistry? This is just a complete embarrassment. Seriously, The-Dream, really?!

   Oh…ok…Dream. At least I know the difference between reality and entertainment. These artists don’t seem to understand they are not responsible for people’s actions but there is a such thing as “influence”. Why have a “drug” themed video? What message are you really sending?

   Can we have an option that is worst than cold?! What a mess. Ill second Liberiangirl about Influence. But forget that. How about not setting black artistry in music back? No, its deeper. How about just being a decent person and releasing good music. Worked for Adele. Hell, worked for him! What freaks me out the most is the question of is this what the upper echelon of music is STILL like! Do people still party like its Studio 54!? Who directed this video!? And do women STILL objectify themselves like this!? This is why we have to go underground for hiphop and rnB now. Unclenching my pearls, and Im taking Christina and the baby with me…
