Kelly Rowland shoots the cover of her new album.
A little thing like lacking a hit single isn’t going to stop Kelly Rowland from proceeding with the release of her new album. In fact, she recently wrapped a photoshoot for the record’s cover art and happily shared this first image from the set with her small fanbase.
Thus far, the lead single from Rowland’s new album, ‘Ice (ft. Lil Wayne)’, has peaked at #58 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Since impacting Urban radio 21 days ago, the song has climbed to #31 in that format’s airplay ranking with a peak of 4.08 million audience impressions. Clearly, that ice has cracks.

I feel it’s too late. Releasing a summer single with no video in June and now it’s nearly September! She needs to throw her fans some kind of bone though! her latest dance show with Jason Derulo was cancelled and now she’s returning to her real career! Not excited for this new album, need yet to hear how “Motown has so influenced my new album” is going to translate into it. “Ice” doesn’t sound like a Motown track to me!
I’ve given up on Kelly Rowland. Seems like she doesn’t believe in herself because she doesn’t want to grow. I thought she was dead wrong for being Trey Songz’ video girl but you know what? They are both mediocre! Not saying she should be snobbish but the way you carry yourself determines how people treat you. I’m done with Kelly! I’m not a fan of mediocrity!
I really want Kelly to go hard. This single is very safe its the same Mid Tempo R&B tracks she’s been doing since MS. Kelly. Nothing is wrong with that, but if your a fan of DC you know what kelly can do. It just seems to me as a solo artist shes afraid to take that risk and go for it without the support of the group. I really need for someone to write her a uptempo R&B dance track that will give her R&B and POP chart success and shoot a dance video that will shock people and dominate some live performances. putting out these urban singles in the U.S and pop singles over seas routine isn’t working for her.
I have resigned myself to the fact that this beauty has no fuckin semblance of a clue and her camp could give two fucks about her career.

Get your ass in the studio with some awesome drum & bass, Afro/Cuban writer/producers or sit your ass down some where. I do not have time for R&Sex Kelly Rowland.
It is not just Kelly Rowland a lot of artist are trying to
sell sex. Brandy, Christina just to name a few. I rooting
for Kelly but if she keeps singing this type of songs
she is going to loose some of her fanbase.

Smh Kelly girl good luck. I don’t think having lil Wayne involved on this track is gonna help it become successful. Seems like everybody wanna have him on they album now days even when not needed (keyshia Cole) but whatever. I think this woulda been a nice third single to release cute song thou.
