The single cover Brandy’s new song, ‘Wildest Dreams’.
Brandy’s lead ‘Two Eleven’ single, ‘Put it Down (Ft. Chris Brown)‘, is steadily gaining momentum on Urban radio but she still needs a bigger push to get the album off the shelves. As such, the contralto has issued a new song called ‘Wildest Dreams’, which is the official second offering from the record.
‘Two Eleven’ will be released on October 16th and include contributions from Sean Garrett, Bangladesh, Frank Ocean, Mario Winans, Hit-Boy, Ester Dean and others. Listen to the R&B-styled ‘Wildest Dreams’ below:
There is no denying that ‘Wildest Dreams’ is a solid effort but there is a dated element to the song that is striking reminiscent of 2002 R&B music. Indeed, this song could have easily fit in with several of the tracks on Brandy’s ‘Full Moon’ album and developed into a major hit ten years ago.
Still, there are several R&B fans who demand a return of this form of R&B (heavily layered vocals and wafting melodies) and Brandy will certainly satisfy their desire with ‘Wildest Dreams’. Hopefully, they also purchase the song on iTunes and buy ‘Two Eleven’.

It has a pop element to it. This is probably an album cut and not the second single but if it is, I do hope the video has a throwback element to it. I’ll buy the song once it has an itunes release date.

The melody and the lyrics are a winner and she sounds flawless. Her arrangements, harmonies and runs are dope as usual. Good stuff! Very reminiscent to her ‘Full Moon’ and ‘Afrodisiac’ eras.
