New Song: Rita Ora – ‘Radioactive’

Written by Trent | Filed under Rita Ora
    Rita Ora promo TheLavaLizard

Rita Ora stars in her ‘R.I.P.’ video.

Rita Ora’s debut album, ‘ORA’, will be released in the UK next week so it was only a matter of time before material from the record hit the web. One such new song that has surfaced is ‘Radioactive’, which is actually the next US single from the project.

‘ORA’ will hit stores in the UK on August 27th. However, no definite date for the record’s US debut has been announced but Ora has confirmed that it will arrive before the end of September. Listen to ‘Radioactive’ below:

Although ‘Radioactive’ sounds strikingly similar to a song that Katy Perry would have recorded with producers Max Martin and Dr. Luke, it is undoubtedly the best single from ‘ORA’. In fact, if she would have released the track in July, it would have been a strong contender for the Song of the Summer title.

Get ready to see Ora perform ‘Radioactive’ at least sixty times during the next three months. Still, this is one song that I would enjoy hearing on a few occasions, at least until it clogs the blogosphere thanks to Roc Nation’s promotional push.

Why does she look like Beyonce on the “Party” video though?

she’ll be popular when she becomes original… she needs to run away from any comparasion!

Rita has had this look for YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she is not copying anyone. Just because rihanna is more famous Rita’s the one that gets all the backlash for her look that ‘s she been rocking long before rihanna. It’s not fair.
She a huge success in the UK/Europe so if she doesn’t make it in the US it’s not the end of the world. She’s still a very successful individual and with Roc Nation pushing her she has nothing to worry about. Give the fucking girl a break.

I agree with Joss. Even if she had the look first, you can’t come out looking JUST LIKE another artist that is running the lane wayyy harder than you. It just doesn’t work and the music audience will toss your aside quick. Her music is already different…her styling department needs to follow suit.

No matter what she does or where she pops up at I just can not get into her. I’m not a Rihanna fan but she could never come for Rihanna’s spot. She just does not stand out at all.

Trent , this song is wack , her other singles were much
than this. If she wants her album to sell she is going
to have release better songs for the U. S. fans

When someones says they are a huge success in the U.K (exa Kelly) it’s a lie. They are telling you in the UK she’s hot in America ( lies) and telling those in America she’s hot in the U.K. Nothing but PR’s at works trying to generate a profit ! Payola for airplay for a few weeks does not equal success !

Trent, how can you say this is a decent song when you CUSSSSS Alexandra Burke for the dance music she makes and we ALL know shes miles ahead of her peers in terms of vocal talent and performances…its like you only listened to the snippets on her new album and didn’t bother to listen to it in full. Anw, Rita is good but her music is the most generic thing going right now and her voice isn’t even that powerful. So many great UK females acts go unnoticed.

After seeing some of these comments I would have thought the song was horrible but I like it and I dont usually like pop songs. To me though she reminded me a little of Rihanna and someone else who i just cant put my finger on…
