The Weeknd Announces Label Deal, Tour Dates & “New” Album

The Weeknd has been the champion of the mixtape artist army for the las year but he is finally ready to make his mainstream debut. In fact, he has major plans for the upcoming months with his new label deal, tour dates and first album.

The Weeknd has joined the roster of artists on Universal Republic Records, which is also the home of his longtime friend and collaborator Drake. The first product from his deal will be ‘Trilogy’ – a record that will include mastered versions of songs off his ‘House of Balloons’, ‘Thursday’, and ‘Echoes of Silence’.

Additionally, The Weeknd will kickoff his ‘The Fall Tour’ on the 21st of September in Chicago. See the preliminary list of show dates for the venture and listen to his first ‘Trilogy’ single, ‘Wicked Games’, below:
