Dawn Richard Postpones ‘GoldenHeart’ Release Date Until 2013

Dawn Richard was previously set to release her ‘GoldenHeart’ album on October 16th but she has decided to delay that arrival date. However, the move was for good reason because the singer has inked a new distribution deal with Altavoz Distribution to ensure that the record gets maximum exposure.

‘GoldenHeart’ will now hit stores on January 15th 2013. Speaking about her new deal with Altavoz, Richard noted, “it’s a movement we are starting here. After all our hard work, we finally are expanding our art into stores.  We wanted to make ‘Goldenheart’ available to all [hearts] not just digitally.  The project is too amazing to be limited to one portal of access.  It’s time to get excited.  This is a big deal for us!”

Richard has also announced plans to introduce her first mobile app available on iOS and Android compatible devices.  The lead ‘GoldenHeart’ single, ’86′, is available on iTunes. Watch Richard discuss her plans below:

   Dawn should be proud of herself. Hard work really does pay off. I’m still going to buy the album whenever she decides to release it.

   Does no one else see that this bitch ripped off Ashanti? That album cover is practically identical to the Braveheart promo pic Ashanti released. Also similar album titles. Not interested in recycled material thanks.

   How come that dawn fan always rushes in to post negative things about Brandy, yet I never see him on his girls posts? Anyway, I like Dawn. I hope her album is a success. She’s very talented. I loved her in DK. I haven’t felt that same love for her as a solo act, but we ll see.
