Did you know that Alicia Keys was the most successful female songwriter on the Billboard Hot 100 during the last eleven years?
During the period of January 1st 2000 to May 7th 2011, Keys was ranked as the sixth most successful songwriter of Hot 100 hits and first among women. Among the songs written or co-written by the diva that topped the chart were ‘Fallin” and ‘My Boo (with Usher)’, both of which ruled the ranking for six weeks.
Also, Keys’ ‘No One’ and ‘Empire State of Mind (with Jay-Z)’ held the Hot 100 top slot for five weeks each. The former song was also ranked as the sixth most successful song of the 2000-2009 decade and #42 on the list of best-performing songs on the Hot 100 during the 1958-2008 period.
