Did you know that the first iPod was introduced to the world exactly eleven years ago?
The first iPod classic was unveiled by Apple Inc. on October 23rd 2001 and released to stores on November 10th 2001. Introduced by Steve Jobs, the first generation of the now globally famous product was Mac-compatible with 5 GB hard drive and held up to 1000 songs.
To date, there have been six versions of the iPod classic, two of the mini, seven of the nano, four of the shuffle and five of the touch. Watch one of the most popular iPod commercials below:

“Music from the 2001-2005 era were the best”
*of the ’00 decade.
yeah true but 90s music kills other music period
These are ony good for convenience, otherwise thats all.
After the release of the iPod Touch, that’s when Apple really dominated the MP3/4 player market. All the other companies (Sony, etc) just faded away into obscurity within the next couple of years. You’d think Apple was the only company that sold MP3/4 players. Excellent for Apple, maybe not the best for consumers since Apple has essentially no competition in that area.
