R&B/Pop singer Beyonce.
Did you know that Beyonce has sold less albums as a solo artist than as a member of Destiny’s Child?
As a solo act, Beyonce has sold 13 million albums in the US from 4 studio offerings to date. Her top-selling LP remains her solo debut set, ‘Dangerously in Love’, which has sold 4.9 million copies and it is certified 4x platinum. Destiny’s Child, on the other hand, moved over 17.1 million albums in the US and the group’s best-performing record is the 8x platinum ‘The Writings on the Wall’.
Interestingly, Beyonce’s album sales have declined with each release. ‘Dangerously in Love’ sold 4.9 million, ‘B’Day’ sold 3.3 million, ‘I Am…Sasha Fierce’ sold 3 million and ’4′ sold 1.3 million. Watch the video for ‘Crazy in Love (Ft. Jay-Z)’ from her first album below:

Everybody already knows this, every other artist albums sales has decline with each release beyonce, britney, gaga, rihanna, mariah carey, nicki minaj etc so what’s your point? And ofcourse she sold less as a solo artist than when she was in destiny’s child, just another pathetic post from trent smh
That awkward moment when Rihanna has outsold Beyonce WORLWIDE , TWICE. So let’s not even go there.
Maybe you didn’t do your research, but I could have sworn the post said BEYONCE US ALBUM SALES. Rihanna has NO #1 albums (6 and counting) and barely Outsold one Era of Beyonce’s but lets not go there. Lets add the 17million LP’s Bey’s sold with DC plus the 13million LP’s she’s sold solo.The only way Rih will sell Over 30 mil albums in the US if she puts an album out every year for the next 20 years of her life lol (without a break lol) #getcholife

well i mean everyone struggles to sell the longer theyve been in the industry .. this wasnt post worthy at all! theyre are SO many factors that goes into what an artist sells at any given time. Destinys child was an rnb/pop group when that genre was popular. Destinys child TODAY could never sell 600K their first week with they kind of music they made back then.. Beyonce struggles not to jump on the dance bandwagon and still remain relevant (which i acutally love her for).. “4″ would of slayed the charts 7 or 8 years ago but thats not what is right now hot with the kids.. artists like rihanna, gaga, kesha, katy etc all have embraced the trends and get hits (not always hit albums though).. its not rocket science why beyonce isnt selling all these records .. Its a combination of time in the industry and the genre of her music .. how people cant see that and simply call her a flop is baffling to me .. oh well see ya at the superbowl
completely agree! were in a “on to the next” generation always looking for the next new hot thing and everyone wants people to sound the same. This combination is going to make it harder for the older artists like beyonce, usher, alicia, brandy, monica etc. to shine.

IASF sold 3 million in the US. Single Ladies has sold 4.9 million in single sales, about to hit 5 million, B will become the FIRST Black Lead female Artist to have a digital single to sale 5 million copies in the US. IASF album sold over 7.6 million copies worldwide and over 25 million singles ww with a 119 million grossing Tour.

Beyonce wasn’t ever really a big album seller. She was just a good album seller. Her fans make excuses for everything. Mariah’s Emancipation, outsold her previous album. Adele’s latest album outsold her first one. Mariah also had other albums that outsold previous albums. Music is different. However, Beyonce was/is one of the biggest superstars with alot of influence so she could do it. The funny thing is Beyonce fans like to throw the word flop around to every other artist, but when it comes to her they already have an excuse. Lol

I don’t think Trent was trying to be shady with this one because for starters everything he said was factual and I don’t see any bitchy comments. Also, not everyone’s album sales decline with each album. Some people’s album sales go up and down so Bey stans can STOP right there with that excuse. Nobody is saying that Beyonce isn’t great or talented so I don’t understand why her stans are so quick to attack anything that portrays her in a light they don’t like.
The fact people dont seem to understand is Beyonce is a GLOBAL Artist! She may have only sold 13million in the US (Which most current artist still havent sold!) But she has sold almost 80million records Worldwide..and counting! Lets state facts here!

Well this Beyonce post served its purpose! LOL. Yes, Beyonce’s album sales are declining, but look at the industry. She’s not trying to sound like everything else with all that pop shit. And it’s not like she’s that far off from how many she sold with DC and her solo releases. No matter what she does she gonna debut at #1 and have a critically acclaimed body of work. She’s looking to satisfy herself when it comes to what she puts out. 4 might’ve been her “worst” era but she STILL slayed. Yes many of the stans look at numbers and album sales but as far as I’m concerned, if my fav (Beyonce) is happy, then so am I. #RoundV2013
Her REAL fans could of told you that her strongest and best album was ‘DIL’ to date. Yes generally speaking sales decline, but rightfully pointed out, many artists albums have outsold its predecessor… just NOT hers. But her fans don’t like hearing this. Its a shame ’4′ was her worst era because it should’ve did much better, the best album since ‘DIL’, instead of f̸a̸k̸i̸n̸g̸ having a baby she should’ve continued jumping on piano’s and flinging herself around as she was (during her first “five months of pregnancy”), and rode that ’4′ train to the wheels fell off.
Anyways regardless I take joy in reading this post because its facts and some of those “Bee’s” need to realise THEIR “Queen” aint all that. Had this been Rih, Ci or Mariah everyone would have something to say. What makes me laugh is Beyonce fans are so misguided, the justify all her bullshit without her even asking, a fan to me is standing by an artist but being real when they fuck up. Beyonce fans need to acknowledge this <<<
