New Video: Ciara – ‘Got Me Good’

Written by Trent | Filed under Ciara
    Ciara Got Me Good TheLavaLizard

Ciara strikes a pose in her new video for ‘Got Me Good’.

After releasing numerous previews, Ciara’s new video for her latest single, ‘Got Me Good’, has finally premiered in its entirety. The song will appear on the bendy entertainer’s upcoming ‘One Woman Army’ album, which is currently earmarked to hit stores in early 2013.

Earlier today, footage of Ciara’s performance of ‘Got Me Good’ on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ hit the web. How does her live showing of the song compare to the video? Watch it below and find out:

As usual, Ciara dances up a storm in the ‘Got Me Good’ video but how does this differ from her previous works? She is still singing about shaking her “booty from the left to the right”, thus showing zero artistic progression, which she needs at this stage in her career.

At this point, Ciara’s ‘One Woman Army’ campaign is developing into yet another disaster. ‘Sorry’ failed to chart and ‘Got Me Good’ is far from a strong followup. Perhaps, the odds will roll in her favour and Ciara will score a hit. If not then she can always model.

Which proves ‘Jay Jay”s point that singing about “booty shaking” has NOTHING to do with success.

          Sit the fuck BACK.

I love the song and video. Choreography was great!

But timing is everything. This song could’ve been a hit in the summer but we’re in fall going into winter soon, this song doesn’t fit the season. Plus, the song’s hit potential is reduced even more by the fact that it doesn’t come out on Itunes until Nov. 6, that leaves too much time for people to forget.

I really love the video and the song is catchy.
Plus i think ciara vocals are improving. Its a fun song with a fun vibe. There’s nothing wrong with some booty poppin music.

Ciara looks BEAUTIFUL and i really loved the Dancing

with all the great promo thats been going on for her. i think this has great potential to chart and really put her back on the map. IM EXCITED FOR HER :)

This sounds NOTHING like her previous singles, dummies.

This dance track is actually playing around with the subject of love, something her previous dance tracks don’t do. And this is still the first single along with Sorry. They are a pair. Always trying to be smartasses.

The song is just okay, a little too familiar and reminiscent of “Gimmie Dat” for my liking. “Got Me Good” does nothing to show growth on her part. Although, it is nice to see her killing the 8 counts again. I just don’t like how she has been talking up her album empowering women when all she’s doing is talking about shaking her ass like usual. Maybe she should narrow that term down from the very broad audience of “women” and say that it will empower strippers and women who want to shake their ass in the club.

There’s nothing wrong with making fun music. It’s just when an artist talks up a project and touts it as being something full of meaning. And then it turns out to be a continuation of the vapid fluff found on their previous releases.

FUCK, FUCK, FUCK THE HATERS!!! Ciara you got me good! I was not expecting this one at all. I know this will chart. And secreatly everyone here knows it will also. The club never shuts down just because its fall or winter. This knocks. And the video CANNOT be fucked with. No one can name a video that has cone out this year that could even match this one. And no one in the game bow has shit on Ciara looks nor her skills in dancing. CiCi went dumb in this video! I couldnt be more proud of her. I hate this is hitting iTunes so.late…it gives people too much time to find the single elsewhere (for free). Keep doing it ma!

I LOVED THE VIDEO! I disagree with Trent’s comments. I think Ciara has grown ALOT since she 1st came out. “Sorry” is going well considering we’re just now seeing it performed live. People are so quick to count Ciara out but let it be somebody else they say “I’ll let it grow on me”
Ciara is just getting started with this new project and I believe she will do well because she’s a great and talented artist, People just need to give her a chance and stop hatin so tough
