Nicki Minaj gets vicious for her ‘Come On A Cone’ video.
What a surprise, Nicki Minaj has released a new video for ‘Come On A Cone’. The video was directed by Grizz Lee and has been taken from the rapper’s slow-selling sophomore studio album, ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’.
‘Come On A Cone’ isn’t the only video that Minaj has issued recently. She previously released the visual for her latest single, ‘The Boys (ft. Cassie)’, which is the lead offering for her ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded – The Re-Up’, which will hit stores on November 19th.

Minaj has a bad habit of taking making the worst possible videos for some of her best songs. Really, the effort she put into making the music video for the far less impressive ‘The Boys’ should have been directed toward making ‘Come On A Cone’. This is just very disappointing.

Hmm…what are those promotional tools that artists use for singles and albums…oh, that’s right, they’re called MUSIC VIDEOS.
They also do promo videos. Trey songz did it, Nicki’s done it, Beyonce’s done it, Rihanna, Gwen, Britney, Taylor swift, nelly etc.

This actually started well and then very quickly it got really, really bad. Listening to some of the lyrics, you can tell she was trying to boast about her career yet the only thing she could boast about was the success of her LAST album and the fact Superbass has done well lmao. It’s funny cos she can’t even bring up the sales of PF:RR. The video is CHEAAAAAP and tacky. Her adding other celebs in the vid is her way of saying ”look who I know”…kinda like name dropping but how many of these celebrities are actually friends with her?….RIGHT!
I don’t see what the issue of her taking video clips of her being hugged by kanye, talking to Kim and being seated next to Jay and Bey…it’s true. And Beyonce was bopping to beez in the trap. This is just a promo video (kind of out of nowhere) to promote the album…it looks like she is going more urban with the re-release and it shows in the message behind this video. Plus, to me this is just like Did it on em…inexpensive put together video.
Oh & her standing next to Blac Chyna has made me realise Nicki has ripped off her look
Songs are poor. Her direction is wrong. She is being misguided. Nicki should just be a feature artist, that way her gimmicks can work, she gets paid and the song will most likely be dope. That way everyones happy
But she is about to go on that back burner and be forgotten about.

I honestly feel that if Nicki would leave Young Money, (Drake too), get some guidance from an older artist that has been successful who can go Iyannla Vanzant on her, I think she could really be a real rap/pop/hip-hop (whatever) icon. It is all about her direction. She needs to u-turn and take another route. *sigh* I hate when people who have possible talent just go the fast money way of things. But that is how money works so….what can you really say?

I get the fact that Nicki has a dream and that she wants to be successful; I get it. Having said that, her entire fan base isn’t made up of Barbz. Did she forget about the rest of us? I actually enjoyed Nicki and her music prior to the release of this album. I’m tired of hearing the same content and reading about the stunts that she pulls. Nicki needs to go on a brief hiatus so that you she can revamp her team, her image and produce some quality music. Maybe that’s too much to ask for.
