Nicki Minaj stars in her new ‘Va Va Voom’ video.
Nicki Minaj has released another new video? It must be a Friday. During the last eight days alone, the Ke$ha wannabe issued videos for both her failed ‘The Boys (Ft. Cassie)’ single as well as ‘Come On A Cone’ but it the public’s lack of interest forced her to followup with a flick for ‘Va Va Voom’.
In case you forgot or simply didn’t care enough to pay attention, ‘Va Va Voom’ was the standout track on the deluxe edition of Minaj’s ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded’ album. Undoubtedly, it will also appear on the ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded – The-Reup’, which is set to debut on November 19th.

Minaj clearly aimed to present a series of fairytales in this ‘Va Va Voom’ video but the final result is nothing more than a collection of glamour shots and outtakes from past photoshoots. The concept is there but she fell short with the execution. Everybody can’t be Missy Elliott or Busta Rhymes, though, and director Hype Williams isn’t the man he was ten years ago so perhaps Minaj deserves a pass.

You know… I went to the ‘other’ blog and commented on their post, asking why the posted a link to a video nobody could see, and asked them why they didnt just direct their readers to E-Online so their readers could ‘enjoy’ the video (I use the word enjoy loosely)… The ‘other’ blog deleted my comment… Why steal and then try to cover it up when people catch you…

There’s nothing wrong with being different and thinking outside the box but with her it comes across as contrived. She tries to be different but it doesn’t come naturally like it should. She should just try to be regular, it’ll look better.
Nicki tries too hard. The entire concept for the video is corny but then again, it matches the song. Nicki needs to go on hiatus so that she can grow as an artist.
LMAO! This video is a mess. Shame since this is her best single since super bass. She lost me a while ago. Good for her for establishing a loyal fanbase who will continue to buy her crap though. A true capitalist getting as big a return as possible from putting in the least amount of effort possible.
