Alicia Keys Blazes ‘X Factor (US)’ With ‘Girl On Fire’

Written by Trent | Filed under Alicia Keys,The X Factor (US)

Alicia Keys performs on ‘The X Factor (US)’.

Although her ‘Girl on Fire’ is on track to debut atop the Billboard 200, the projected figures are far below her usual standard. So, the diva pulled out all the stops earlier this evening when she launched onto the stage of ‘The X Factor (US)’ stage to perform the title track alongside a crew of tribal dancers.

‘Girl on Fire’ is expected to sell 150K-175K copies next week. However, following this stunning showing by Keys on ‘X Factor (US)’, the sales may receive a much needed boost. That is the power of proper album promotion! Watch her performance below:

    Thanks Mr. World Premiere!

Nice but she needs to dump the single. Perform album tracks, hell.

      Amazing! True talent
This album deserves to open with 500,000 copies. Girl on Fire is the worst song on this amazing album like I predicted. Problem is labels and radio are forcing and forcing artists, even the better ones like Alicia to go a little bit more radio friendly and generic everytime, so she and her team probably did Girl on Fire the single cos of that. People are brainless nowadays, don“t blame the artists for that
Go Alicia, her attitude is also so great, what a great promo campaign

Well this single is now #1 on itunes so promotion really does work… maybe she should have also performed at the American Music Awards too. Anyway, her album will do well worldwide.

      Good job Alicia!!!!

Wait wait wait. Get into Simon’s face at the end and his silent “wow” with the hand clap. No shadiness from him on that performance.

The performance was awesome, and the album is just so ridiculously good, there are only two songs that I like, all of the other songs I LOVE. I have had it on replay since tuesday and each day I have a different favorite song and I hear something new in each song, and I just love that beautiful surprise at the end of 101, this woman is so talented. I am not worried abou the sales, she will sell very well this week and she will continue to sell in the weeks ahead, the album has been #1 on itunes since Tuesday that is pretty good, it says that people are continuing to buy.

And I noticed the singles don’t show those bars that indicate which one’s are the most heavily downloaded as individual purchases. This means that people are just buying the whole album instead of singles.
